Who is Filler Reversal Recommended for and how does it work?
Filler reversal is performed using the enzyme hyaluronidase, which can be used in ointments or solutions and has the ability to dissolve the injected hyaluronic acid. It only dissolves hyaluronic acid fillers, and if the patient is unsure which product was injected, they will always need to undergo additional tests for evaluation. People with bee allergies CANNOT undergo this reversal outside of a hospital setting, as it carries a risk of severe allergy or anaphylaxis, making it a contraindication.
